Butterfield Country Club Wedding

Butterfield Country Club Wedding from Gina Cristine Weddings

Here’s what I love about this wedding: the bride and groom are seriously adorable (see: their proposal story), the ceremony was held at the stunning St. Gabriels in Chicago (they were the fourth generation married there!) and there’s not one.single.moment that isn’t overflowing with sweet, sweet details.  That, my friends, is a pretty amazing combo.  And when you add in an Allure gown that will kind of take your breath away (it sooo will), beautiful blooms from Kloeckner Preferred Flowers and one of the prettiest galleries you will ever see from Gina Cristine Weddings?  Just call me HAPPY.  See it all in the full gallery.

From the Bride… Mark knew for a while he was going to propose on the day we closed on our first home, we would walk into our house and there would be roses, champagne, the whole thing. Unfortunately, our closing was postponed last-minute and his whole plan was ruined. Since everything we owned was packed, we decided to spend the weekend in Michigan. After a nice dinner in New Buffalo, Mark suggested we walk along the beach since the sun was setting. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I had never felt so lucky, and was over the moon on the thought of spending forever with Mark!
We got married at Saint Gabriel Church in Chicago. This was an easy decision for us, as we were the fourth generation in Mark’s family to get married there, following his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. We were thrilled to get married in a beautiful church, with a lot of meaning and memories.
We knew from the beginning we wanted a country club wedding reception. We enjoy golfing together, and one of Mark’s most favorite ways to spend his time is on a golf course, so it was fitting for us. Once we visited Butterfield Country Club as a possible venue location for our wedding, we knew immediately that was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding! Everything about it was everything we were looking for, and more!
I wanted a bright color since our wedding was in May, and quickly fell in love with Bill Levkoff’s persimmon bridesmaid dresses. Since the ballroom at Butterfield is mostly gold, I decided on gold as an accent color, along with aqua for a fun pop of color. We wanted a fun, yet elegant feel to our wedding, and with help of our amazing vendors, we got just that! In the end, we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. The entire day was more than we could have ever dreamed our wedding to be.
